Mustang Band Volunteer Needs
Football Concessions
One of the band’s yearly fundraisers is concessions at the football games. If you would like to volunteer in operating concessions or by donating food/drinks for the stand, reach out through email!
Equipment
We have tons of heavy equipment in band and can always use extra hands. We would love your help in setting up chairs, stands, and percussion instruments for concerts, moving drum stands and drum major podiums to football games, decorating concert stages, and in transporting large instruments to parades/off-campus performances.
Field Trip Chaperones
For every ten children on a field trip, we will need one chaperone to meet Okaloosa County requirements for safety. As band field trips are planned, we will reach out.
Fundraising
To run a successful band program is to essentially run a nonprofit organization. We raise money to bring in professional musicians, provide musical opportunities for the students, purchase new music, repair/replace equipment, and ensure that the students are receiving a quality music education.
Photography/Video
Parents love having high-quality memories of their children performing! The students also LOVE to see the photos and videos showcasing the hard work they’ve been putting into playing their instruments.
Uniforms
The way we represent ourselves as Mustangs and as members of the Crestview Band community is paramount. In Beginning Band, Concert Band, and Football Band, most performances will be in the blue SRMS Band polo shirt, black pants, and black/white tennis shoes. However, Symphonic Band uniforms are more formal school-owned uniforms that require an organization system and yearly cleaning, sizing, tailoring.
